Discovering tantra has been a magical journey !! I have realized that there is so much more to a relationship than what I have known. These lectures remind me how little I know. Dhyan Vimal gave his first lecture of a four part series on Tantra on Sat 25th Oct 2008. In his lecture he laid an excellent foundation for Tantra by taking sex out of the market place and grounding in the sacred. Dhyan Vimal seemed to cut through all the ‘junk’ our society has coated sex with, bringing the individual gender, the act itself to a natural expression. It was a relief to me to have sex seemingly return to a more natural state, a more natural expression.

The Tantra talk was an excellent introduction to a complex ancient idea. It was clear and flowed simply through the explanation of male and female energy and the beauty and “method” in which they die together to become one.
The talk covered the basic principles of the idea of a man rising to his masculinity, and a woman to her femininity. Guided by biology, not the ego, together they are better able to experience themselves, the other and then the beauty that is the one. It is in that “oneness” that enlightenment can be attained. What I got from the tantra talk was that I need to allow my biology to tell me what is right for me. I saw that I have violated my body by following my mind and forcing it; this has created negative consequences that I am experiencing right now. I also learned that there is a meeting that happens between two people that is higher than just the biology and the mind. I can now begin to move towards this higher meeting with my partner.
